I just read Eric Clineʻs 1177 BC The Year Civilization Collapsed (revised 2021) about the systems and complexity crises that ended the Late Bronze Age. Will 2023 be the year that marks the turning point of the end of Western Techno-Industrial civilization? Or 2020 will go down as The Year? Didnʻt we actually pass carrying capacity in the 1970s? Call it 1977 AD for our turning point year?
