The world’s human population will likely collapse to below 1 billion. This will be horrific and devastatingly, is inevitable due to ecological limits of a severely damaged planet. This population collapse will be grossly unjust with those marginalised, disadvantaged, and dispossessed impacted first and worst. None of this is okay. The best we can hope for is some measure of justice: every child not born from now on is one less person to likely die a horrific death, and women and girls can be empowered today in making decisions on whether they bring children into this world.
