An honest assessment would have been to explicitly mention global warming as of now, warn the reader that the 1.28 degrees Celsius warming (tucked away in a supllement) is with respect to 1951-1980 (figure 3d) instead of the standard 1850-1900 and mention the 1.6 warming with respect to that pre-industrial era (Copernicus: annual mean since feb. 2024), a temperature rise which the reader should now distill from figure 1e, a figure with no source mentioned, however.
