Great catch–thanks for sharing. I wonder how they would factor in the potential for endogenous threats (solar flares, comet/asteroid threats, nearby supernova) or terrestrial events (magnetic repolarization, volcanism, rapid cooling [from deep ocean circulation disruption])? Bolide impacts, for example, once considered rare have been judged more likely han in the past.
