It is no coincidence that these three graphs bear a near 1:1 correlation. Some ‘solutions’ or pathways out of the climate crisis claim that energy, CO2 and GDP can be decoupled; that we can grow or produce equivalent energy without emitting CO2. This is not the case – decoupling has been debunked. Collapse is inevitable, but justice isn’t.
