The energy sustaining global industrial civilisation is being impacted by climate change and geopolitical tensions. Drought is curtailing energy generation, war is disrupting fossil fuel supply, and the largest producer of solar components is China.
This emergency declaration is intended to maintain business as usual – economic growth and military supremacy. While the climate-environment movement celebrate this as a win for renewables, it is in fact another loss marking the #GreatDescent.
