What civilisation is Mann referring to that can survive 3 degrees of warming? Ignoring tipping points, non-linear feedback, biological and ecological system failures, this is the same magical thinking that allows the ecocidal behemoth to continue. #NewDenial

Every day a #PlannedCollapse is delayed, a horrifically unjust collapse becomes that much worse. Denigrating and silencing those who recognise the severity of our predicament and who work for the radical change, delays a #PlannedCollapse. Professor Michael E Mann and others in the #NewDenial are obstructing a #JustCollapse; a deliberate contraction of the human enterpriseContinue reading “#NewDenial is the new delay”

Please sign and share this important PETITION: Celebrity climate communicator, Professor Michael E. Mann is controlling climate discourse by making inaccurate claims that downplay the severity of our predicament, labelling experts, activists and concerned citizens who disagree either ‘doomers’ and/or ‘bad actors’. This is unacceptable and dangerous. Professor Mann must stop controlling climate discourse andContinue reading “Denigrating climate activists is unacceptable and dangerous”

Distinguished Professor Michael E Mann has made a name for himself by stepping outside science and entering the political fray of climate politics. He promotes the idea that talking about #collapse is ‘doomerism’, and he is instrumental in shutting down conversations about the severity of our predicament, and the radical change required if we areContinue reading “Exposing a gatekeeper”

As well as failing on CO2, until a #PlannedCollapse of the human enterprise is on the agenda, COP is ecocide. The Earth is in #ExtremeOvershoot due to the legacy of colonization, the continuance of extractive industry, and infinite growth (e.g. energy, consumption, population). Planetary limits have been exceeded. Not addressing this is suicide. Seek justice!Continue reading “COP is ecocide”

We’re long past #overshoot and now #collapse is inevitable. This unprecedented moment calls on us to consider; what is radical action? ‘Has the climate movement failed? It’s hard to look at the world at this moment and not conclude that the answer is yes. A new book by Andreas Malm, a professor of human ecologyContinue reading “What is radical action?”

The failure of the climate/environmental movement means that alternative approaches to action are urgently needed for a #JustCollapse. End the #NewDenial and quit the #hopium, because: ‘When you give up on hope, you turn away from fear… And when you quit relying on hope, and instead begin to protect the people, things, and places youContinue reading “Quit the hopium”

We need a different plan. A plan for a #JustCollapse.

It’s just so very strange how we don’t #TalkCollapse. “It’s like if you knew you had a deadly but treatable disease, and not only did you not pursue treatment, you also didn’t think about it much and didn’t talk about it with anyone”. Not talking about #collapse is bad for our psyche and bad forContinue reading “Its very strange”
