Founder of collapse platform Deep Adaptation, Jem Bendell, is promoting right-wing individuals and ideas. When we raised our concerns, he suggested we are arrogant, cowardly, authoritarian, eco-Stalinist, trolls. We now, unfortunately, feel we must publicly distance ourselves from Jem.
#JustCollapse – sometimes anti-social, always anti-fascist.

One example: Jem posted a Sky News video on Twitter – an interview with Angus Dalgliesh who is a right-wing crack-pop from the UK. He was a candidate for this party: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UK_Independence_Party
Jem thought what this guy had to say was spot on. He is struggling to tell his left from his right…

It’s way past time to leave the ‘petty’ polemics behind. They are one of the main reasons there has rarely been a viable ‘Left’ in the USA. Even worse, just using the names of Stalin, Lenin, Mao, whomever, immediately eliminates most of the US population from any discussion. First, they have the knee-jerk Cold War reaction, and maybe even more importantly, they have no idea what is meant by ‘eco-Stalinism.’ Most USAians wouldn’t know a genuine leftist if they tripped over one. Peace! John

“Left libertarianism” is pure corporate-favoring bullshit. No wonder Bendell is following the billionaire-sponsored gravy train headed by Matt Taibbi.

Why are we calling Jem Bendell out, even though he talks collapse?
Who he platforms:
Jay Bhattacharya – recent Trump appointment with a history at RAND Corporation.
Angus Dalgleish – former candidate for hard right-wing UK party and conspiracy theorist.
Austrian far right party.

When we questioned Jem Bendell’s platforming of the right, Jem responded with deflection, denial, and distraction – using public relations strategies to address everything but the issue we raised. We have only found one instance where he provides something like an answer. He believes he is platforming the ‘truth’. Unfortunately, we can’t attached the image of his response here, but its on our social media accounts.

There is much to like about Jem. He talks collapse, he challenges power and authority, and he is curious and critical. But why is he platforming right-wing commentators and parties when he claims to be left?
