What are IPCC scientists thinking?

50% of IPCC scientists believe we’re heading over 3C: ‘I think we are headed for major societal disruption within the next five years,’ said Professor Gretta Pecl, University of Tasmania. ‘[Authorities] will be overwhelmed by extreme event after extreme event, food production will be disrupted. I could not feel greater despair over the future.’

This is collapse. #TalkCollapse for a #JustCollapse.

  1. I’m just thinking out loud here but what concerns me most in many ways is that impacts will be gradual. A sure but steady decline, interspersed with some ‘good news’ that keeps the masses thinking things will get better. The rich will continue to protect themselves. Our human brains are very good at forgetting even terrible recent events. We move on quickly from bushfires, floods, disengage from wars etc. What will it take for the majority to realise that the decline is terminal?

  2. Meanwhile, we are being shamed for not actively supporting the man most responsible for the genocide in Gaza. He’s responsible because he could stop it with a phone call. And he’s all life’s enemy because he happily supported drilling for oil/gas in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico. And don’t bother to tell me how ‘sincere’ he is, or how much he ‘cares.’ Maybe he is/does; in which case he is merely a very, very, very dangerous ignoramus.
