I have heard that we will be the last generation that has blues skies above us when we look up. How incredibly sad it is to think about that. I have no doubt that geoengineering of our atmosphere is exactly what our dominant species will do simply because we can and we believe it will allow us to continue with the illusion that perpetual growth can be sustained, regardless of the consequences.
