The #NewDenial describes denial of the severity of our predicament i.e. overshoot. So, it includes those concerned with, for example, climate change, but who think that simplistic solutions will fix things.

WTF indeed. Whenever I see something like this, I wonder….”just who is this WE you speak of? Because you seem to be excluding a fair proportion of the world’s population for whom collapse is already unfolding”. Perhaps a bit of unconscious Malthusianism going on there. [And I don’t think we in the Global North will be ‘ok’ either, but I do think there’s a big blind spot when it comes to less less wealthy nations. Racism, it’ll always find a way in….]
