Solidarity is a fight – new research paper

New paper: “…there is no guarantee that we can adapt to all the cascading effects of a collapse aggravated by climate change. The scale of the current crisis surpasses any historical precedent, and the path forward is uncertain. Nonetheless, by understanding the dynamics of past collapses and applying those lessons with a focus on rapid adaptation and anticipating what we may face, there is still potential to navigate the turbulent future.” – Stephanie Rost, Gothenburg University

Don’t just collapse – #JustCollapse!

  1. Not surprisingly, given my past comments, I see this paper as delusional in the extreme. The scale of the impending collapse is so vast and Omni-destructive that trying to anticipate its contours with a shopping list of possible coping strategies for this future is arrogant.
What’s the point of an academic exercise of a mild and tepid imagining of a functioning humanity in a future world of dead bodies on the ground, massive use of guns by a feral citizenry, and little food?
