5 years jail is a hell of a sacrifice

When a small computing glitch shuts down stock exchanges, banking, airports, healthcare, and petrol stations around the world, and exceeds the disruptive capacity of any activism, can five UK climate activists doing prison time bring about real change? This type of activism was effective last century, but Prof Chenoweth describes how the recent rise in surveillance and anti-democratic protest laws makes this theory of change obsolete. Five years jail is a hell of a sacrifice for an ineffective and out-dated activist theory. #CollapseCat says, we need a new ‘Theory of Change’.

Riding the Zietgeist” theory of change.

  1. been thinking exactly the same.

when we’re so close to the end you should be enjoying time with your loved ones and trying to ease into the collapse.

those lost years are for nothing with global authoritarianism around the corner it’ll end up with societal collapse, environmental or war.

    skill up and prepare.

    1. Agree. And collective actions and solidarity prepping as no-one can, or should, face all this alone e.g. mutual aid and insurgent planning.
