I’ve noted this before: Lovelock’s Gaia Theory suggests that we have set in motion a reset of the atmospheric thermodynamic equilibrium that could take us back to the Palaeocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum 55 M yrs ago–6 to 8 degrees Celsius above the preindustrial background. Add Hansen et al.’s recent work and 8-10 degrees C are possible.
